ONLY the lecture/slide presentation will be recorded, not any part of the experiential component.
This workshop will introduce you to the life and work of feminist artist Judy Chicago (b. 1939) , whose ground-breaking installations created a space for women artists and women’s experiences, while transforming art history and the art world. Our time together will include a slide/lecture presentation of Chicago’s life and the scope of her work, with a special focus on the collaborative installation, The Dinner Party, to be followed by an experiential component.
Please bring with you: a paper plate of any size and implements with which you can draw or write, such as pens, pencils, crayons or paints.
NOTE: This event is free with an option to make a donation to the Jung Society of Washington.
