DONATE
A gift to the Jung Society of Washington ensures that there will always be a place to foster
creativity, build stronger communities, and learn to navigate life in healthy ways.
There are many meaningful ways to give to the Jung Society.
Annual Fund gifts are critical to supporting the needs of the Jung Society of Washington. These unrestricted gifts help cover the costs of providing educational and outreach programs, updating both our physical and online space, as well as helping the Jung Society provide continuing education for the human spirit for students of all ages and walks of life.
We occasionally have requests for scholarships for our programs by people who add significantly to the depth of a program when they are there, but who simply cannot afford to attend. Some are candidates to become analysts (an expense similar to a Ph.D. program), some are long-time students, some simply add to the depth of the program with their questions. We provide scholarships for all these reasons, and we probably could include several more reasons if we are asked. We always need funds for this.
We have recently surpassed 5,000 volumes in our library, and we are continuing to catalogue Jungian books. There is a link to our catalogue on the website. We have books that we order, but also have many books that are “transferred” or donated to us by analysts. If you are a DC area local member, we can arrange a time to meet you so you can check out books. And we are happy to do that. We use funds to add new books as they are published—for example, The Red Book, The Black Books and the attendant scholarship.

The decisive question for [humanity] is: [Are we] related to something infinite or not? That is the telling question of [our lives]. Only if we know that the thing that truly matters is the infinite can we avoid fixing our interests upon futilities and upon all kinds of goals that are not of real importance. . . . As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.
