A Further Look at Mediating the Transcendent Function: A Workshop With Lourdes Hernandez

11 Jul 2026
PAST EVENTS

Building on last night’s lecture, today we will talk about how to artificially induce contact with unconscious material and bring its contents into awareness in order to activate the transcendent function, mediate the opposites, and foster psychological transformation. Through critical discussion, we will explore how one can “come to terms in practice with the unconscious,” as Jung wrote, and honor its offering.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in exercises that can prompt the occurrence of the transcendent function, which can enable transformation of the personality.
