Travel shapes us in ways we don’t always pause to notice. In this course, we will explore travel as more than movement across places. Through guided artmaking, reflection, and conversation, participants will use creativity to explore how journeys—physical, emotional, or imagined—shape identity and becoming.
No prior art experience is required. This course is process-focused, supportive, and curiosity-driven. The emphasis is on exploration rather than perfection.
Materials for the class:
In this course, we will:
Each class invites participants to work intuitively with simple materials without pressure and share in a non-judgmental space. Art making is paired with gentle prompts and optional group reflection. This course is ideal for travelers, artists, educators, clinicians, and other curious humans; anyone navigating transition or change; and all those interested in creativity as a reflective, personal practice.
Come as you are. Leave with new perspectives, creative insight, and a deeper awareness of how travel—both external and internal—continues to shape who you are becoming.
Suggested materials:
A variety of art materials (participants will be guided in choosing from options such as air-drying clay, fiber materials, collage, drawing, and painting supplies during the workshop)
Please note: Although guided by an art therapist, this experience is not clinical in nature and is not intended as a therapeutic intervention.
