Change is a fact of life that we often embrace in theory, but do not always find easy in our lived lives. Join me as we enter the world of poetry, through which you will have the opportunity to explore feelings we ourselves cannot always name. Open yourselves to poets who explore the many faces of change and you may find  yourself changed in the process. Have some paper and pencil handy as we will be doing some brief writing which you will have the opportunity to share should you so choose.

Evelyn (Evi) T. Beck has dedicated her life to social change with a focus on the lives of women in all our diversity. She is a founder of Women's Studies, earned two Ph.D.s, one in Literature, the other in Clinical Psychology.  She also trained in Poetry as a Healing Art and, upon discovering Sacred Circle Dance, began often to combine the two. In her "retirement," she lectures, offers workshops, and teaches a weekly two-hour dance circle in Washington, DC. Her mostly academic (slightly-out-of-date) website is at https://evibeck.com
