This Lecture WILL BE Recorded.
Liminal states of symbolic death and rebirth are central to the transformation of consciousness. The death of one thing is the birth of another. This spiritual/psychological dynamic of how things change runs like a golden thread throughout alchemy, Romanticism, and depth psychology. In this Friday evening lecture, we will explore the imagery of figurative death as a liminal state, a state of being at a transformational threshold, as it appears within these three traditions. A special focus will be on Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s visionary poem, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, a tale of liminality and revelation, unconscious acts, consequences, and metanoia, a tale of learning and changing through suffering and telling the story forward. And grace. Examples will be offered from dreams and personal life.
Prices for Lecture:

Members - 1 person - $40.00
Senior Members - 1 person - $35.00
