Course

This course will utilize the quite accessible books by Robert Johnson who sought to bridge the gap between the arcana of Jung and the reading public through a series of short studies which illustrate both the importance of myth as a carrier of values, and their dynamic interactions, as well as an introduction to core analytic concepts.  We will read He, She, We, and Owning Your Own Shadow.

Texts:

        He: Understanding Masculine Psychology

        She: Understanding Feminine Psychology

We: Understanding the Psychology of Romantic Love

Owning Your Own Shadow: The Dark Side of the Psyche

James Hollis, Ph.D. is a Jungian Analyst, Executive Director of the Jung Society of Washington, and author of Living an Examined Life and 15 other books.
